A quick update on our progress.. So, we finally got the upstairs painted and trimmed out. Whew! I am pretty sure that placing Blue Painter's Tape HAS to be one of the 7 Horrors of Hell. Yeah.. definitely positive of it.
Ta-da! Hooray for a lovely, velvety hazelnut color.
Speaking of colors, I thought I would share the colors I have going on in my house-a couple of friends have asked specifically what they are. The majority ( a good 85%) of our house:
Natural Bark (from good ole' Wally World)
Our upstairs is the next color swatch up, and much darker in person: Firewood (also form Wally World)
And our biggest nightmare to date, Valspar's Chinese Red. Our hall bath and water closet are this color. Why the headache? Let's just say I dreamed up a GLORIOUS idea of a crackle finish bathroom, which somehow translated into Brenon and I re-sanding the drywall and priming for days. Blah..
Don't. EVER. crackle. finish. anything.
The rest of my house is odds and ends of wood furniture, painted furniture, chipped paint and dumpster dives. Think: Hunter greens, creams, golds, satin blacks and more reds. It's really just things that I immediately love.
Hmm- now seeing my pictures, it makes me want to go play upstairs. Ta-ta for now!
