The Thing About A Girl's Trip...

There's a lot to be said about a girl's weekend. It's not just a time to get away, but a time to celebrate. Celebrate with some sillies and some real "boo-hoo's". Cherishing the truly odd and the awesome. Finding out new things about each other, and in a quiet moment, more about yourself. A time not to be judged or snickered about, but a time to get your head on a little straighter. As you can see, I've thankfully come home with my head screwed on a bit tighter. And come home with the ability to catch a rainbow trout.

I hope you have a core group of friends- a group that will love you unconditionally. A group so sweet, so crazy, so.. so nuts, they leave you humbly thankful.
This is my group.

And I'm lucky.

Get to the River

Jeez, I'm really flaking. Sorry, you friends.
And to make my disappearance even longer, I'm off on a mini trip.

With these loves.

A few glorious days of ice cold water, hiking, 4:00 catfish dinners with the blue-hair old ladies, art projects and staying up late. Bliss.

So, I'll see you guys in a few. I'm plugging my headphones up now...

Sugar Loaf

Ahhh.. finally.
Fall Break.
One of my favorite-est times of the year.

Every year, about this time, some of my dearest friends and I pack up a car and head to her family's cabin in the Heber Springs area. It's a weekend of laughter, squeals, red lipstick, staying up late, inappropriateness, and fun.

This year was no exception. Radiating strength and inner Girl-Power, we decided to pack up our old-school Timberlands and try to hike a local mountain mound, Sugar Loaf.

Shoo-weee.

It was a real hike-walking up trails and then actual climbing the face of the rock.
It was a beautiful climb!

I promise I have 2 arms.

When we reached the summit, I was struck by how blessed I really am. So in awe of the glorious things the God has given us.

The Gang coming down from the summit. So thankful for them!
